I saw your show in Hobart tonight & it was hands down the absolute BEST thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I wore a Gryffindor cardigan & had bright orange hair… was hoping to be a Ginny Weasley :p If I had the money I’d certainly go again & again & again. Wish I could own it on DVD because it is the best pick-me-up around! Thank you for such a brilliant night. The quidditch game was hilarious :D

  2. Hannah says:

I saw this show on board the P&O Ventura and I loved it! Great show – I definitely recommend!!

  3. Dorothy and Tony Haynes says:

Just watched ‘Potted Potter’ on board P & O Ventura, what a wonderful 70 minutes we spent. Their talent to put all that they did together was amazing we cried with laughter :)

  4. Tatyana Tabachuk says:

Saw the show last night- awesome and funny!!

  6. Louise Kelleher says:

I wish this was around when I was a child. Saw this in The Gaeity in Dublin last weekend, and it was brilliant. Hilariously funny, engaging and the perfect bingefest for Harry Potter fans of all ages.

  7. Patrick Gaffey says:

I went to see this at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin yesterday with my mum and brother. I haven’t read any of the HP books or seen any of the HP movies in years, so I thought that I wouldn’t be able to understand any of it. Well boy was I wrong! I genuinely couldn’t stop laughing! Most fun I’ve had in ages.

  8. Niall Norton says:

Brilliant show. Took my 7 year old to see it and we both loved it. Great work lads!

  9. Emma says:

This show was just fantastic! Myself and family members saw the show in the Gaiety Theater in Dublin and the guys had us laughing from start to finish! Absolutely Brilliant! :)

  10. bella says:

This show is literally the funniest thing i have ever seen so funny in fact that we went to go and see 3 of Dan and Jeffs shows and thoroughly enjoyed all of them

  11. Rebecca (Gryffindor) says:

Hi! I loved your show! I saw the show at the NAC in Ottawa. It was very funny when Jeff got head-butted by the little girl in Gryffindor. Guess he won’t have any little Snitches anytime soon.. :) I loved it! Good work, I’d love to see it again, and again over!
    Both of you are hilarious!

  12. Jill says:

I took my daughter to your show yesterday at the Prince Theater in Philadelphia. It was her Christmas gift. We laughed the entire time. Fabulous show, thanks for the fun!!

  13. Tristan says:

We saw Potted Potter in Phildadelphia with Garry and Del performing. The show was very clever and a different take in the series itself. We really enjoed and were laughing out loud.

  14. Kathryn Meyer says:

We had the best night as a family watching this production! Our son happened to be picked to play Quidditch in San Diego. He LOVES Harry Potter! He is only seven but has read 3 books and was Harry Potter for the past two Halloweens. He laughed so hard through whole show and to get to be a part of it made a dream seem like reality. Thank you for this gift we all will never forget!

  15. Mindy Powers says:

I just saw the opening night of Potted Potter’s Broadway San Diego run at the Balboa Theatre, and I must say, it was absolutely fantastic and stunningly hilarious! Though I was bummed it took 5 books to mention Ginny, and Neville and the twins weren’t mentioned at all, Dan and Jeff did a fantastic job, and if I could, I would honestly go to every production in the run from now until Sunday, it was that good. Coming from a Potter enthusiast who’s very harsh when critiquing anything Potter-related, I thoroughly enjoyed Potted Potter and advise it as a fun show for the whole family! Especially if you’re a Potterhead family! Also, Quidditch was amazing!

  16. Ilana Solomon says:

That was quite literally the BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER! I went tonight (October 26th) at Cleveland Playhouse, and quite frankly I wasn’t sure what to expect. But from the moment Del and James walked onto the stage it was amazing! When I got picked to be the seeker for quidditch was also quite possibly the best moment in my life, especially when no one booed me even though I was wearing Slytherin colours! :)

  17. molly schwab says:

just got home from the cleveland playhouse where my son and i saw “potted potter”…..laugh out loud funny! the fastest, funniest 90 min i have spent in a long time. GREAT show!!

  18. Rachel says:

My boyfriend and I saw the show last night in Charlotte and absolutely loved it! It was wonderful seeing a humorous side of the series, while still embracing the Harry Potter that we know best :) Brilliant!

  19. Leslie Arvin says:

I greatly enjoyed the show at Purdue University on 2013/10/17! I bought early; I got wet. My team won! I wish I had brought my niece with me. I would definitely see your show again!
The show was in NYC when I was there this summer, but my mom and aunt weren’t into seeing a show. NOOOOOO! :-( I didn’t get to see New York really. Cursed JFK, taxi, Rockefeller, Times Square in one day and whoosh to train and Long Island.

  20. Jackie says:

My granddaughter and I saw the show on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 in Dayton, OH. We love the show and the actors. It was hilarious!

  21. Lynn Greenberg says:

We had a great time!! Hilarious! Great chemistry and improv skills by Del and James!

  22. Kim says:

Will you be settling in NYC again after the tour is done? Was unable to get to the Boston shows and am hoping to take my daughter to see your show.

    • admin says:

Sorry, no plans for a return to NYC any time soon – we’ve done 30 weeks off-Broadway between last year and this year, after all!

  23. Andrea says:

    Absolutely LOVED the show.
Any plans to release a DVD?
If so, I will be the first to purchase multiple copies!
Come back to the Boston area again soon!

  24. Jennifer Jiang says:

I am a lover of Harry Potter and most of the parodies of Harry Potter that have came out and I can tell you that this show was AMAZING! Dan and Jeff made it so I laughed my ass off throughout all 7 books. It was so funny that I couldn’t help myself but laugh. I loved everything about the show: the lighting, the stage, the rendition of I will survive, and of course the quidditch. It was well worth the money.

  25. Jess McIntyre says:

I brought my friend, Jon, to the Portland, Maine show last night for his birthday, and we absolutely LOVED the show! James & Dell (sp?) were a delight to see! Would it be at all possible to get a DVD of the performance? We just enjoyed it so much, we want the WORLD to know about this show!

  26. ChrisJ says:

Coming to CA but missing No. California?? Rubbish! Let us know when you are coming to the better half of the state……

  27. Kris says:

Saw Del and James at Sidney Harmon in DC last night at 7:30. Bravo! Kudos! Wonderful! I’m telling friends in Philly to catch it when the show gets there. I spent the night laughing so hard I could barely see thru the tears of mirth :)
James, your golden snitch demise will live through infamy. Del, you enjoyed yourself far too much.
One burning question remains however, just WHAT did Del spend all the money on?!

  28. Janis says:

I would love tour dates in the Raleigh Durham, NC area. Any chance?

  29. Josette says:

Saw the 12pm show today with James and Del and it was awesome!

  30. Jefferson Turner says:

Hello, I am Jefferson Turner, but, alas, I am not THAT Jefferson Turner. Just another guy with the same name as the Potted Potter bloke. I saw the show at the Little Shubert last summer, and enjoyed it immensely. Jefferson Turners of the world, unite!!!

  31. Lisa says:

Will you be in Philadelphia any time in the fall/winter? Please??!!!

  32. Judy McBain says:

I was so sad when my mum didn’t buy me ticket to the show i heard it was great i hope that they come out to Australia again

  33. Karen Mudd says:

    Hi,
Your tour schedule says you’ll be in West Lafayette, IN on 10/17, but that’s the week you’re in Charlotte, NC, correct? Both theaters are advertising your show for 10/17. A little worried about my 10/19 tickets in Charlotte. Thanks!

  34. Slythindorgirl1 says:

OMG I wish I could see it!! I’m a huge Harry Potter fan and want to see it in seventy minutes! go Slythindor! (Slytherin and Gryffindor)

  35. Doug Bost says:

We saw the 5PM show today and loved it! It was really wonderful and our daughter Acadia laughed with abandon through all 7 books. And she is a big fan of those books — such a big fan, in fact, that she wrote a play based on the characters and her friends agreed to perform in it, and we made a little documentary about the play here:
    http://youtu.be/y4B7M5jmoTA
We hope you enjoy it half as much as we enjoyed your show!

  36. Narisa Ullah says:

I brought my very good friend to this show for her birthday. We’re both big Harry Potter fans and though I hadn’t done too much research about the Potted Potter show, I thought it would still be fun and a change of pace. When we got there, we immediately noticed the number of families with small children present! We assumed it’d be more for (young) adults. From the minute the show started, we laughed hysterically. We were completely entertained and were trying to memorize our favorite lines to reuse in real life later! Dan: you are all sorts of incredible. Jeff: great stage presence and sorry you were almost maimed by a tiny boy during your evening show on 6/20/13! Thank you!

  37. Tony Walsh says:

Saw 5 pm Father’s Day show tonight with my wife and kids (we came last year as well). My worries about the “alternate cast” lasted about six seconds — you guys were awesome. And the topper was that my 7-year old son was chosen as Griffindor seeker, and he is only just now coming down to earth — which, as all the dads out there can attest — is as good as it gets for a father.

Thanks for a great day — all the best!

  38. Melanie says:

You should make the remote control for your slide show like a wand. Awesome show

  39. Rebecca Leahy says:

I was crying I was laughing so hard. Also I forgive you for the ginger jokes Dan because you were hilarious. Jeff sorry you got beat up by a little girl tonight :) also I studied in London during the fall and your accents made me miss it. Thanks for a hilarious night.

P.S. New Yorkers will always be more sarcastic then you.

  40. Heather Siddall says:

Absolutely hilarious. Dan and Jeff are wonderfully weird! Best round of quidditch I’ve seen in ages. Well played Slitherins :)

  41. Jane says:

I just saw you guys last night in NYC and LOVED YOUR SHOW!!! I wish I were rich enough to see you guys every night from now until you leave NYC. Hope I can see you guys again, preferably closer to the front so I can participate in the Quidditch game.

PS. Dan, thanks for the autograph. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

  42. Holly says:

Saw Dan and Jeff last night in New York City! Funniest thing ever! My favourite part has to be “Come Nagini.” Highly recommended for all age groups.

  43. Ryan says:

Hey guys, Come to Canada!!! Please. Love the show.

    Brilliant!!

  52. Makala Eddy says:

Hi Dan and Jeff! Just saw the 4:30 show today, 10/04/2013, at Garrick Theatre with my three children, and we all LOVED it! It has been a long time since we have all laughed that much… what a fantastic show! Hope Jeff’s “quaffles” have recovered from being smashed by the girl during the Quidditch match. We loved trying to figure out which parts of the show today were unplanned…. the melted chocolate cake bit, and the perfectly tossed Nagini onto Jeff’s shoulders were our top guesses. Thank you for such a great day out!!!!

  53. caroline benbrook says:

Just returned home with my husband and 12 year old daughter after watching the 2pm performance at The Garrick on 7 April 2013 – what a fantastic show. The show works on a number of levels with humour for children and adults alike. I have a basic knowledge of the HP scene and I didn’t know what to expect; I loved it and haven’t laughed so much in ages – thank you for a great afternoon.

  57. Reema says:

i watched your 7:00 show today in Mississauga! It was amazing! So many hilarious parts and the improv was amazing. I was so happy you mentioned Darren Criss because I’m a HUGE fan of his. The chocolate cake, the ginger hair In the cake, Jeff getting body slammed by the Gryffindor seeker, the AMAZING fire breathing dragon that Dan spent all the money on, the Shrek accent and so much more parts that I will remember kept me laughing throughout the whole show. It felt so good to be surrounded by Potterheads. The girl behind me had the coolest Luna glasses! Anyways, I really hope you come back to Mississauga soon! Thanks for an awesome time!

  58. The McClennan's says:

Saw Potted Potter last night at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauge. I don’t think we’ve ever laughed so hard! Three generations of the family were there and thoroughly enjoyed it; laughing to the point of tears! Thank you for an awesome experience!

  59. abbruzzese1 says:

This parody of all 7 Harry Potter books was hilarious! I nearly died laughing! Dan and Jeff do such a good job making the show as funny as possible, it hardly feels like acting! I will be going back over and over and over and OVER again! This show is a must see, for all ages! The performance is so amazing, my mom and sisters laughed the hardest, and they haven’t seen the movies or read the movies! YOU MUST WATCH THIS IF YOU ARE A DIE HARD POTTERHEAD, OR EVEN JUST A BEGINNER IN THE WORLD OF HARRY POTTER!

Wore my cool Ravenclaw shirt to the Holland Center tonight to see “Potted Potter” and I’m glad I dressed comfortably, because I was nearly doubled over with laughter several times!! Two guys, seven books, 70 minutes. Hilarity ensued. Quidditch, camping, death, chocolate cake, magic, improv, and a dragon: it doesn’t get much better than that!! Hilariousss!we saw you in Toronto Canada last March and laughed from start to finish!we often have a laugh remembering our favourite funnies!

  88. toddandjoan@hotmail.com says:

    Hi Dan and Jeff,
We were thrilled to see your performance in Chicago this past Friday, November 30. Our son Arthur and his cousin Nick said it was hilarious and all of us are repeating quotes from the show. It is to funny to find other people who look at the Harry Potter stories with a “what if” or different perspective. We hope you are having the time of your lives doing “potted” performances. You definitely have a gift and the laughter that you conjur/share is so energizing and often so much needed amid stressful days and economic woes. If only we could live on laughter alone. The world would be even better of a place to live.

    Regards,
Todd, Joan and Arthur Johnson and Nick Kaja

  89. Vaun R says:

You are both very clever performers – the show is full of energy and fun and the humour was spot on for my kids ages (10 & 13yrs). We had so many laughs and the kids are using many of your one-liners around home! Great stuff. Any chance you are considering an CD audio version…? W

  108. Bec Hayward says:

I just adored your show so much! I went to one of the NYC performances dressed in my Slytherin outfit (but was on the Gryffindor side during Quidditch. Silly lions.) and it was easily the funniest show I have ever seen. The Quidditch was amazing (I’m sure Jeff remembers being tackled by the little Slytherin boy, all too well!), you both were hilarious, I don’t think anybody walked out without a smile on their face. Thank you for such a great time!!!!

  109. Angie says:

SO AWESOME AND HILARIOUS! Can you guys come to SF?

  110. Bobby Drezner says:

Saw the show on its final day in NYC. It was so good, never laughed that hard in a Broadway theater. Sat front row and loved how they brought the audience into the show. The Quidditch match was fun. The “I Will Survive” remix was insane and I think they should release, need that song on my IPod! Brilliant show! Thanks for coming to New York.

  111. Grace Dela Cruz says:

i’m really sad that i didn’t get to watch your play Potted Potter, it was just a short week. Please let me know if ever you’ll do a rerun here in Manila Philippines. Thank you. I have a few friends who really rally really want to watch this play.

  112. Jan says:

The reviews of your show from Manila were astoundingly good! I love harry potter and was hoping to be able to watch your show but I am based in Cebu and your show schedules happened to fall on the same days as my children’s exams and I am their tutor so I couldn’t make the trip. I am hoping you will come back and hold more shows on January as Ticketnet is hinting at. I am also hoping that you will make a trip to CEBU!!!! We have great beaches here. hehehe Trying to entice you to come and make the trip and enjoy the beaches on the side.

  118. Taylor says:

One of the funniest Potter parodies I’ve ever seen. Literally cried from laughter at one point. The best parts were Dan and Jeff’s aabilities to roll with the punches when things didn’t go exactly as they did before, making the show that much more entertaining and personal. LOVED IT!

  119. Charlotte says:

Attended the show with the alternate performers, Dave and Rich. Rich made sure to greet the audience with handshakes prior to show start. What a great way to make you feel welcome! My daughter and I laughed, guffawed and laughed some more all throughout this show. Rich did such a great job playing all the characters that he was sweating! Well done Dave and Rich – an awesome show by you both!

  123. Elisa Reiter says:

Potted Potter personifies parody. Dan and Jeff are wizards and vaudevillians! Our six year old, Alex – who had the fun of being a seeker today – ranked Potted Potter up with Spiderman. Many thanks, gents.

    Guys:

Thanks for a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Everyone from my 6-year old son to my 8-year old Potter fanatic to my wife and I had a great time at the show yesterday. Perhaps the best evidence of that fact: my children, who are great kids but whose manners are, shall we say, spotty, were prepared to run down 42nd Street toward 9th Avenue to thank you when I told them that I had just seen you walk out of the theater.

    Great time!

  138. Howard Wurzel says:

I saw the show last night —- I very much enjoyed it. I have lots of comments and suggestions (42 year old male perspective) if interested. But in a nutshell, Dan & Jeff are the 2012 Tim Conway and Harvey Korman. HUGE compliment guys… if you don’t know who they are, google away….

  139. Eleanor K says:

My daughter bought us tickets to Potted Potter as we both love the series. Little did we expect to spend the entire time laughing at the hysterically funny quips and parody associations to this beloved story. What a fantastic experience for anyone and what a compliment to the writers and actors on such an outstanding job done with only two actors and a few clever props. This was truly one of the most entertaining afternoons I’ve ever spent. To anyone thinking of going…..you will NOT be disappointed!

  140. iceprincess911 says:

My daugther and I loved the show, we laughed from the beginning to the end.. We read all the Harry Potter books and saw all the movies… not just once, but dozen of times.. So we were definitely curious about the show… it was hysterical…would definitely see it again.. my daugther talked about it all week.

Saw the show on Saturday 27th Aug, loved every minute. Dan and Jeff were superb, too many classic moments to mention. Seeing and hearing all the children laughing out loud was pure magic. It was great to meet Dan as well, as he mingled before the show. We picked up a programme signed by Dan, which had been dropped by someone in Row C of the upper circle; if you can tell me the name of the child it was dedicated to, I will post it to you.

  176. Jennie says:

When to see you at the Garrick today (29/8/11) had a fantastic time! – my 10 year old son gasped to me after the Order of the Phoenix, “Mum, I don’t think I can laugh any more!”

Saw the show earlier today and everyone seemed to be having a good time. 8 yr old daughter wanted to come to the 7pm performance too! I hope D & J noticed how well-received they were – the audience loved them. I’m sure there were at least twice as many adults than children in the audience. A great show for everyone – what’s going to be ‘potted’ next?

  180. Wild Side says:

Can’t recommend it enough. Saw it at the Garrick yesterday. We were a 45 year old mum, a 65 year old gran, a 7 year old boy and a 10 year old boy. Only I’ve read the books and seen all the films. Just got home from Wednesday’s matinee at Theatre Royal in Bury and like Jo I was in stiches the whole way through and my 8 year old HP mad daughter was also picked to go on stage to be a Gryffindor Seeker! Although I don’t think Jo’s daughter carried on trying to scare the Golden Snitch after he was rugby tackled to the floor. What a fantasatic show – which we might have to see again back home in Edinburgh for the festival…
Thank you for a great afternoon’s entertainment and you HAVE to keep the chocolate cake in the show!!!
Now off to play some Quidditch…
